Danish police make arrests in cartoonist murder plot

Danish police today arrested three people allegedly plotting to murder cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.

Westergaard was one of the artists responsible for the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that caused controversy throughout the Islamic world when published two years ago. The suspects, two Tunisians and a Dane, were detained under anti-terror legislation, with authorities suggesting that the Dane was likely to be released after questioning, while the Tunisians would be expelled from the country.
