Kyrgyz officials rule out journalism as motive in Saipov murder
25 Nov 2008Kyrgyzstanʼs Deputy Interior Minister has said the murder of Alisher Saipov in October last year had no link to his journalistic activity.
Saipov’s family claims his murder was contracted by Uzbek President Islam Karimov, and has accused Kyrgyz law enforcement agents of letting the murder happen.
