It is financed The National Endowment for Democracy a long standing CIA and western intelligence front established during the 80’s which is not apolitical as well as other affiliates like and USAID, Freedom House, Soros, etc who finance political opposition in countries which they are politically active against the ruling leadership like in Yugoslavia against Slobodan Milosevic and Russia itself financing all the potential opposition candidates it can support through the Other Russia coalition, media, “human rights” organisations as well as “research”, youth movements and colour revolutions.

More of its fantastic conclusions of 3 million listed as Purge victims and estimated as high as 12 million which run counter to some of the signatories in this letter with no supporting evidence or as evidence presumably according to Memorial any person sentenced anyone who died or sentenced to death or imprisonment is a political prisoner regardless of alleged crime during the Stalin period to back up its thesis.
