Philip Rizk released
12 Feb 2009Early Wednesday morning, blogger and activist Philip Rizk, who was detained after he participated in public demonstrations in support of Gaza last Friday, was released and driven home without having been charged.
The Egyptian government has not explained his arrest or release.
Rizk’s arrest and the government’s refusal to provide any information while he was in custody provoked worldwide protest.
