Asian leaders condemn Burma trial
19 May 2009A statement by Asean — a 10-nation grouping that includes Burma — expressed “grave concern” over the trial of Burma’s opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, saying that as a member Burma ”has the responsibility to protect and promote human rights.” Read more here
