Texas Rangers censor “Yankees suck” t-shirt

A Texas Rangers fan was nearly ejected from a Rangers baseball game against the New York Yankees in Arlington, Texas for a T-shirt that read “Yankees suck”. A security guard told her to turn it inside out, buy another shirt or they would eject her. Read more here

    Just wanted to submit to you folks a letter I wrote to the Rangers P.R. department.

    To Whom It May Concern,

    After seeing a piece on MSNBC tonight regarding a female Rangers fan at the ballpark in Arlington being turned away for wearing a t-shirt that says “Yankees Suck,” I felt compelled to write this email. Being a fan of the Red Sox and, at times, the Mets, I myself am proud to own that very same white and blue “Yankees Suck” shirt and believe you me, you will be hard pressed to find another guy out there who hates the Yankees more than myself. But after seeing this display of puritanical bullshit(I hope that word doesn’t make you cry), I think I will start a new trend by creating and marketing “Rangers Suck” shirts, or perhaps more poignant, “Texas Sucks” shirts. Have any of you people ever been to a game at Fenway Park? Shea Stadium? ANY BALLPARK IN AMERICA? I’ve seen nuns and priests wearing that same shirt. For a ball club that used to be owned by a mass-murdering war criminal known as our former president to be making statements on what is moral and/or profane, I can’t help but find something just a little bit amusing about this whole ordeal. Anyway, when the Rangers are in town and you see a guy on ESPN in a “Texas Sucks” t-shirt holding up a sign that says “Texas Sucks,” you’ll know who to thank. Get with the 21st century folks. Actually, get with the 18th century…a guy named Tommy Jefferson I believe…ummm…Freedom of Speech?

    The Yankees are another team that started slowly but they’ve turned it around. Since Alex Rodriguez returned, the entire squad has played much better. They should keep going to keep pace with the others. I really like them; they’ve always been my favourite teams in MLB. Just read about them here:
