Court orders new Politkovskaya probe

The Supreme Court in Moscow has ordered a new investigation into the murder of Novaya gazeta reporter Anna Politkovskaya. The outspoken critic of Russia’s actions in Chechnya was murdered in October 2006.

   I have been publishing bits on Politkovskaya’s writing for nearly three years. I hope this time
   that the courts do their jobs and allow her
   rest in peace.

   A brilliant humanist, a brilliant writer and
   a hero to so many.it would be nice to see a
   process coming up to her third anniversary
   in October 2009.
