The bottom line of this eviction is clear : "You either come home to settle and support us or you shouldn't come here in the first place".

Despite that they did not have to let him in or let him stay as he overstayed a few times and his immigration history showed he did not really intend to formalise his status. These offences, if committed in Europe or anywhere else, might have analogously caused him to be denied entry.

Asking questions with regards to private matter such as flatmates, girlfriends and other non-related things is simply an intrusion into somebody's privacy and has nothing to do with the case. At the same time I am being often asked these questions when I cross border with Britain so again this is not something terrible in its own right.

This treatment implies a very peculiar way of understanding what "support us" is. "Anti Israeli views" is as clear as sunshine in an interior ministry document and as vague as it possible can be when thought carefully about.

I don't think that he can legally complain about anything at all and at the same time I don't think he would have been evicted had he resided in Jerusalem, drove a huge American car, wore kipa and went to the wailing wall daily spending American dollars for the benefit and in "support of us".
