Dear sir, my name is Zunar. I am nominating myself for this year’s award in the Art category.

Let me introduce myself. I am a political cartoonist from Malaysia. I was arrested and briefly detained for drawing cartoons that challenged official views.

Seven of his books are banned by the Malaysian government, and my office was raided twice by enforcers, the printing factories that print his books are constantly raided and vendors throughout the country are often warned not to sell his books.
