This is an outrage. Since he unfortunately pleaded guilty, it’s difficult to see what can be done to remedy the situation, but this is really just bog standard heckling, which any half-decent politician should be able to take in his stride. What sort of pillock of a magistrate would acquiesce in the guilty plea, let alone impose “unpaid work” – a bizarre euphemism for slavery or forced labour – rather than contemptuously dismissing the case?
