What a grown up lot we are! We cannot see the difference between pointing out that the emperor has no clothes and victimising the innocent citizen.

All the great and good need to do is act as morally as they expect me to, and that would make press attcks mere tittle tattle and of no public interest. But I, as a powerless person, can be picked on at any time by the media, falsely accused of crime (eg the Bristol murder), have my picture touched up to soil my image (eg Peter tatchell) etc etc. Then there is the saga of the Watson family and the Glasgow press, among others.

BBut we cannot find a fault line between this monstrous bullying and legtimate scrutiny of the pwoerful. SHAME!
