Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye were sentenced to 11 years in prison in <a title="Guardian- Swedish journalists accused of terrorism face trial in Ethiopia" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/oct/19/swedish-journalists-terrorism-trial-ethiopia" target="_blank">October 2011</a>, after illegally entering the country with ethnic  rebel group, the Ogaden National Liberation Front. In Ealing, local reporter Michael Russell was beaten and had his camera stolen by rioters. The journalists were subsequently <a title="The Canadian Press: Group criticizes Azerbaijan's deportation of Swedish television crew" href="http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5insTFMFvvJ7srFxW0sINByES8SMw?docId=6607262" target="_blank">deported</a> on 18 April. An official at the Interior Ministry commented that the three were deported as they lacked the proper accreditation. However, one of the journalists, My Rohwedder Street, contends that she and her colleagues had not concealed their profession when they applied for visas.

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[The Libyan government has decided to <a title="Bloomberg Businessweek: Group condemns Libya's expulsion of 26 journalists" href="http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9MEST7O0.htm" target="_blank">deport</a> 26 foreign journalists from the country. The journalists, who had all been invited by the government, were initially told that they would have to leave by Thursday; however their departure has now been postponed until 9 April. <a title="Reporters Without Borders: Gaddafi regime decides to deport 26 foreign journalists who had been invited to Tripoli " href="http://en.rsf.org/bahrein-gaddafi-regime-deports-28-foreign-07-04-2011,39977.html" target="_blank">Reports</a> suggest that the names of the reporters were posted in the lobby of the hotel they were staying in.
