The soldiers have claimed the government is not giving them enough arms to tackle a northern rebellion by ethnic Tuareg separatists, in a conflict that has seen 195,000 people <a title="Global Voices Online - Mali: Facing Secession and Food Crisis as Elections Loom " href="http://globalvoicesonline.org/2012/03/21/mali-facing-secession-and-food-crisis-as-elections-loom/" target="_blank">displaced</a> since mid-January.
