Cu Huy Ha Vu&#8217;s trial lasted for one day, during it one of his <a title=\"BBC News: Vietnam activist Cu Huy Ha Vu jailed after Hanoi trial\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-asia-pacific-12956496\" target=\"_blank\">lawyers was ejected<\/a> and another three walking out in protest. The court convicted him of defaming\u00a0<a title=\"Index on Censorship: Vietnam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.indexoncensorship.org\/newsite02may\/tag\/vietnam\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vietnam<\/a> and\u00a0producing\u00a0propaganda against the state. Vu has\u00a0called for an end to the country\u2019s one-party system and has twice tried to sue the\u00a0Vietnamese prime minister.
