Wyden argued the legislation was an \u201coverreaching approach to policing  the internet.\u201d <a title=\"TGDaily\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tgdaily.com\/business-and-law-features\/56217-lone-senator-blocks-protect-ip-act\" target=\"_blank\">The act<\/a> was introduced two weeks ago and authorises the government to use court orders to prohibit internet search engines from displaying sites that violate intellectual property laws.
