In an article published in a local newspaper in May, <a title=\"Index on Censorship - Alima Abdirova\" href=\"http:\/\/www.indexoncensorship.org\/newsite02may\/tag\/alima-abdirova\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alima Abdirova<\/a> said children at the boarding school in the western city of Aqtobe\u00a0were subject to beatings and neglect.\u00a0Abdirova is due to appear in court in the city on 27 August after the former director of the school took legal action.
