The letter was written by legislator Cynthia Viteri, daughter of Jim\u00e9nes, and in it she called the president &#8220;an ignorant coward, hypocrite and a bully&#8221;. Correa tweeted that &#8220;newspapers should not publish insults.&#8221; Earlier this year, Correa <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/BT-CO-20110920-714004.html\">won a libel suit<\/a> against El Universo, after a columnist\u00a0criticised\u00a0the president.
