The pages promoted Ukrainian nationalist groups and &#8220;contained direct appeals to Russian people to conduct terrorist activities,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>There had been reports over the weekend of pages on <a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/\">Vkontakte<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/thelede.blogs.nytimes.com\/2014\/03\/02\/ukrainian-activists-work-to-counter-russian-narrative-on-social-networks\/?_php=true&amp;_type=blogs&amp;_r=0\">being blocked<\/a>, but the message from Roskomnadzor\u00a0confirms this.<\/p>\n<p>While it is unclear which sites the ban covers, it appears a group connected to the Euromaidan protests is one of them.
