19 Sept & 3 Oct: upcoming theatre events at the Free Word Centre
The Free Word Centre will launch its Work in Progress series, a two-part discussion on the relevance of theatre to society. These will take place on Saturday afternoons 19 September and 3 October at 4pm (with tea and cakes provided).
Portuguese writer and critic Tiago Bartolomeu Costa will kick off the debate on 19 September. Tiago will be joined by Lisa Goldman, artistic director of the Soho Theatre.
On 3 October, Kenan Malik will be in conversation with Gurpreet Bhatti, who will talk about the Bhezti affair, five years her play was met with violent protests in Birmingham.
