ARTS AWARD SHORTLIST

The Arts category of Index on Censorship’s Freedom of Expression Awards honours artists and arts producers whose work challenges repression and injustice and celebrates artistic free expression.

This year’s nominees were Khalid Albaih (Sudan), Sai █████ (Myanmar) and Mohamed Tadjadit (Algeria).

The winner of the 2025 Freedom of Expression Awards in the arts category is Mohamed Tadjadit.
