Ege Dündar is a Turkish writer and free speech defender. He worked with PEN International for eight years before being elected its youngest ever board member. He has supported writers at risk and developed projects such as İlkyaz for young writers in Turkey. He is currently leading efforts to organise with colleagues from 58 countries to build the Young Writers Committee and its online platform Tomorrow Club. His debut poetry collection All These Things Aren't Really Lost was published in 2013.
Ege is the son of Can Dündar, the prominent Turkish journalist and former editor-in-chief of daily newspaper Cumhuriyet who was detained on false charges in 2015.
