Fatemeh Jamalpour and David Schutz
Fatemeh Jamalpour is an Iranian journalist in exile and co-author of For the Sun After Long Nights: The Story of Iran’s Women-Led Uprising. She has reported on political unrest, state repression and grassroots activism in Iran for Los Angeles Times, BBC World, The Sunday Times and The Paris Review, and as a result has been interrogated, arrested and jailed.

David Schutz was raised in an evangelical Christian environment in Jerusalem, where he is currently based. He studied Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University and Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has worked in research, policy and international sales, and is fluent in English and Hebrew. Much of his time is spent providing protective presence – and improving his Arabic – alongside Palestinian communities facing expulsion in the West Bank.
