Journalist Noorajan Bahir of independent radio station Killid was released from a military base near the eastern town of Khost shortly before noon (local time) on 4 June 2009, two days after he was arrested by coalition forces and members of the Afghan military.
“I was interrogated by American soldiers […] and at the end of the interrogation, they apologised and I was released. They had no reason for holding me,” he said.
