We work with our corporate supporters to achieve impact on both sides. Sometimes this means undertaking an independent project that is sensitive and high risk, sometimes it means making noise on a collaborative public campaign.

Support a project, campaign or idea

Our corporate supporters make change happen. By partnering on something specific, together we can drive tangible impact across the people and places experiencing the worst freedom of expression violations. Our work covers:

Academic freedom
Artistic freedom
Digital freedom and privacy (or ‘digital rights’)
Press and media freedom
Protest rights and democracy

As the world changes, so do we. At present, we are particularly interested in Belarusian political prisoners, transnational repression, environmental activism, (self-)censorship in UK arts & culture, SLAPPs and censorship across Afghanistan, China & Hong Kong, Eastern Europe, India and Iran.

Join the Director’s Circle

The Director’s Circle is a bespoke membership programme for corporate supporters and individuals who want to deepen their connection to Index on Censorship.

We offer members the opportunity for behind-the-scenes insights, coffee with our CEO and the chance to network and share information with other supporters vested in navigating the challenges around freedom of expression. We offer membership at Bronze, Silver and Gold level.

Freedom of Expression Awards

Our annual Freedom of Expression Awards take place in November. Celebrating artists, journalists and campaigners fighting on the frontline of free expression, the awards offer a year-long programme of support and an in-person dinner. We are seeking category sponsors and in-kind support.
