They understand the impacts of being under media scrutiny, and of feeling financially and personally isolated. Index introduced me to associated professionals who played a significant part in supporting me through a difficult process, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Index was extremely helpful on the question of free speech and gave sound advice and reassurance on whether there was room for such a society. The process is still ongoing and needs delicate handling, but the advice we received was very beneficial and helped clarify the way forward.”

What’s the point of free speech and how can we do it better?” A group of 40 students (aged 14 – 17 years) and 7 teachers attended. There was a mix of different schools in the workshop including a private boys’ schools, a co-educational Christian college and a number of state high schools. Teachers reported that the workshop was a particular highlight for their students. One teacher reported that they had integrated the content around free speech into classes both before and after Integrity 20 so that their day out was very much a relevant part of their learning over a 2-3 week period.”
