ARTICLE 19

ARTICLE 19 fights for hostages of censorship, defends dissenting voices that have been muzzled, and campaigns against laws and practices that silence. It monitors, researches, publishes, lobbies, campaigns, sets standards and litigates on behalf of freedom of expression wherever it is threatened.

Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI)

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information fights against censorship policies of the governments of the Middle East and North Africa. ANHRI provides an arena where information can be exchanged and archived, available to Arabic readers worldwide. ANHRI’s legal aid clinic provides support and advice to human rights organisations and the media, and is dedicated to defending journalists, bloggers and intellectuals in court.

Access Denied Map

The Access Denied Map does not aim to index all kinds of web filtering, but rather to provide an overview of online censorship efforts related to the social web and major web 2.0 websites. This project also tracks and explore the relationships between anti-censorship groups in different parts of the world who are collaborating to defend the right to access web 2.0 tools and websites.
