Russian editor quits over death threats

Rosa Malsagova, editor-in-chief of the website Ingushetiya.org , has decided to leave her post because of “threats made to her by militants”. This followed an item entitled “Mujahedeen Address to Rosa Malsagova,” which was recently published on a militant site. Malsagova earlier asked for political asylum in France. Filipino journalist recieves death threat text

Mario Alviso, manager of Radyo Nitin in the Philippines, has received a text message from an unidentified sender the day after the death of political commentator Godofredo Linao’s murder, stating that the killing was “just a sample” of what could be done, and that “he would be next.” Read more here
