The National Union of Somali Journalists is an association that promotes and protects freedom of the press and the interests of journalists in Somalia. NUSOJ systematically monitors and conducts investigations into violations of press freedom and human rights of journalists. It generates and rallies a national and global community of press freedom defenders to take effective action against press freedom violations.
The International Federation of Journalists is the world’s largest organisation of journalists, representing around 600,000 members in more than 100 countries. The IFJ promotes international action to defend press freedom and social justice through strong, free and independent trade unions of journalists.
