Publication of magazine weekly Myanmar Nation has been suspended following the arrest of the paper’s chief editor, Thet Zin and manager, Sein Win Maung on 15 February.


The two were taken into custody after a police search of their offices found a translation of a report the UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights, a video of September’s demonstrations and a copy of Let’s Build an Inseparable Union by Shan leader Shwe Ohn. The official reasons for the pair’s imprisonment and the suspension of Myanmar Nation are still unknown.
