[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”102397″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]This past event was updated on 24/10/2018 to include this note: Index on Censorship is no longer a media partner of Truth to Power.

Truth to Power Cafe is a new international performance event mixing memoir, image, poetry, music, and live and spontaneous testimony from participants rising up in the name of free speech and political activism.

Speaking truth to power has its origins in the anti-war movement, and is now widely accepted to mean saying something to those in authority or position of trust who don’t want to hear it. Is it to your parents, a sibling, politician, lover, landlord, religious leader, boss, banker or simply your best friend? It’s time to tell them the truth before it’s too late.

We welcome participants of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds who have up to five minutes to respond to the question before a live audience.
